TradeLens, operated by Ultron Labs ("we", "us", "our"), is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your information.

By using TradeLens, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service.

We collect the following categories of information:

Account Information

When you create an account via Clerk, we receive your email address and any profile information you provide (name, profile picture). We do not store passwords — authentication is handled entirely by Clerk.

Payment Information

Subscription payments are processed by Razorpay. We do not store card numbers, UPI IDs, or other payment credentials. We receive from Razorpay: subscription status, plan type, billing dates, and anonymised payment identifiers.

Usage Data

We collect information about how you use the Service, including pages visited, features accessed, signals viewed, and watchlist contents. This data is used to improve the Service and personalise your experience.

Technical Data

IP address, browser type, device information, operating system, and timestamps are collected automatically through server logs and error tracking. This data is used for security, debugging, and infrastructure optimisation.

We use your information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• Process your subscription and manage billing via Razorpay
• Send transactional emails (account confirmation, payment receipts)
• Send the morning market briefing email (opt-out available)
• Respond to support requests and enquiries
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
• Comply with legal obligations
• Analyse aggregate usage patterns to improve features

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. We do not use your data to train AI models for any purpose other than improving TradeLens features.

We use the following third-party services which may process your data according to their own privacy policies:

Market data is sourced from NSE India's publicly available datasets. No personal user data is shared with NSE.

Your data is stored in a secured SQLite database hosted on Railway's cloud infrastructure. We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
• Database access restricted to application processes only
• Environment secrets managed via Railway's secure variable storage
• Regular automated database backups
• No sensitive financial data stored on our servers (handled by Razorpay)

While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no system is completely secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to notify us immediately at support@ultronlabs.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. After account deletion, we retain basic records (email, subscription history) for up to 12 months for legal and tax compliance purposes, then permanently delete them.

Watchlist data, preferences, and usage logs are deleted within 30 days of account deletion. Server logs containing IP addresses are retained for up to 90 days for security purposes.

TradeLens uses minimal cookies necessary for the Service to function:

• Authentication cookies — set by Clerk to maintain your login session. Required for the Service to function.
• Preference cookies — store your UI preferences such as selected date or active tab. Stored in localStorage.

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies. We do not use Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel.

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
• Deletion — request deletion of your account and associated data
• Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format
• Opt-out — unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time via the unsubscribe link

To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@ultronlabs.com. We will respond within 30 days. Some requests may require identity verification.

TradeLens is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that a minor has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us at support@ultronlabs.com.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify active subscribers via email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
